What is custom tattooing?

A custom tattoo is an original piece created specifically for you in collaboration with your tattoo artist. Custom tattoos are a popular choice if you’re looking for something truly one-of-a-kind or want a design that represents something personal or meaningful.

Choosing the right artist is an important first step when deciding on a custom tattoo. Before reaching out, I recommend browsing my recent work portfolio to make sure my tattoo style fits what you have in mind.

Once you’re ready, get in touch, and we’ll talk through your idea. Most custom tattoos begin with a consultation where we’ll discuss the design, size, placement, and your budget. If needed, I may take a tracing of the area where the tattoo will go so the design fits and flows naturally with your body.

After the consultation, I’ll begin creating your custom tattoo design.

Design review and appointment day

You’ll see your custom tattoo design on the day of your appointment. This is the time to request any changes. Depending on how extensive the revisions are, your appointment may need to be rescheduled to allow time to refine the design properly.

Please note: I do not share custom artwork before your appointment date.

A note on timing

Large-scale custom tattoos take time to design and execute. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work involved in creating a truly original piece, and your patience throughout the process is greatly appreciated.
